Quality Assurance Policy under the Bologna Process at Al-Hussain University College

Al-Hussain University College strives to fulfill its responsibilities towards achieving the highest levels of quality and academic excellence, and to advance its educational programs in accordance with international standards through global procedural means and methods, the most important of which is the implementation of the European Bologna Process adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Mission

Enhancing the quality of learning and teaching at the college by achieving knowledge acquisition and enhancing the academic skills of its members, raising the level of academic performance of the college among its peers, and enhancing the level of scientific research and community service.

Objectives

• Implementing quality education to achieve advanced rankings among universities in Iraqi and international rankings.

• Focusing on achieving national and international institutional accreditation standards to enhance the college's institutional performance.

• Continuously developing and updating academic programs and aligning them globally with their counterparts in the field of specialization, ensuring academic program accreditation.

• Developing the necessary infrastructure and administrative structures to fulfill the responsibilities of the college and its various departments.

• Encouraging the global publication of research in robust formats.

• Transparency: Applying the principle of transparency in all quality assurance activities.

• Fairness: Achieving fairness in the implementation and evaluation of quality assurance requirements among all components of the college's academic community.

• Independence: The absolute belief that the independence of the Quality Assurance Division and its staff is essential so that expertise and professionalism play a decisive role in decision-making and avoiding conflicts of interest with other departments.

• Participation: Encouraging and fostering a spirit of participation among all stakeholders, including faculty, administrators, students, and employers.

The Importance of Quality Assurance at Al-Hussain University College

The importance of quality assurance at Al-Hussain University College lies in the following:

• Implementing the comprehensive national quality standards set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in accordance with the European Standards for Quality Assurance (ESG 2015).

• Periodic and comprehensive evaluation of the college in accordance with these standards, encouraging college leaders and staff to conduct internal self-evaluations, and ensuring constant readiness for external evaluations by external evaluation teams accredited by the Ministry.

• Disseminating a culture of quality among all college members, including faculty and administrators, as well as students.

• Developing academic programs in scientific departments through alignment with local and international educational institutions and curricula development, as well as encouraging scientific research and innovations that contribute to solving societal problems.

• Improving the efficiency of the college's human resources, both academic and administrative staff, and developing their skills by providing training and research programs focused on evaluation, accreditation, and quality assurance.

• Improving the quality of student services provided by the college by facilitating student registration and graduation procedures and providing academic and professional counseling before and after graduation.

• Effectively contributing to achieving the goals of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to advance the status of Iraqi education by enhancing the confidence of the local and international community in the quality of education in Iraq and building an attractive educational and research environment for foreign students and researchers to achieve their academic and research goals by joining Iraqi universities and colleges.
