Scientific Visit to Al-Khairat Gas Power Plant

The Department of Electrical Engineering Techniques at Al-Hussain University College organized a scientific visit on Monday, April 6, 2026, for second-year students (morning study) to Al-Khairat Gas Power Plant, under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Rasool Mohammed Imran.

The students were accompanied by Assistant Lecturer Hamza Salman. The delegation was warmly received by the plant’s management, represented by the Plant Manager, Eng. Karrar Faiq Mohsen, along with a number of its staff members.

Eng. Ammar Asim delivered an introductory lecture in which he reviewed the plant’s generation units and their operating mechanisms, contributing to enhancing the students’ knowledge and developing their practical skills in their field of specialization.

This visit comes within the framework of the college’s commitment to strengthening the practical aspect of education and linking theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, thereby supporting the students’ academic and professional development.
